20 year old son went to a dealership recently and was treated awful. He
had been working with a particular salesman for almost a year. He
really wanted to give that particular salesman the car deal because
they had kept up with him for that long.
Long story short. He had
called ahead and told them that he had a $1000 dollars to put down and
was pre approved through his bank for a loan. He arrived at the
dealership around 2 in the afternoon and 6 hours later they had not
even given him the price of the car.
When they finally gave him
the price of the vehicle, they had tacked on an extra 2000 dollars and

22% interest. On top of this they tried to get an extra $500 for his
old dodge intrepid for a total of $1500 down. By this time he was so

Well, the words were choice, I will leave
at that.He tried to tell them that he needed the night to think about
it. This was not acceptable to the dealership. They used every guilt
trip in the book to get him to buy that day. As he was leaving the
owner shouted, from behind the desk, "That's the best we could do." He
left without the car and half a day wasted.
A friend of mine
told me about this book. I purchased it and gave to my son. He studied
it that night. The next day he went to another dealership and wound up
purchasing a brand new 2008 model year car. He was able to purchase the
vehicle with only $500 down and got a 6.9% rate. Plus he was able to
keep his car and sell it for $500 to his friend.
He passed the book to three of his friends who bought their own vehicles using this book.
